The little town of Moxee that we live in is know for it's Hops. If you look out any of our windows you are sure to see a hops field close by, I mean like across the street close. We are surrounded by hops fields. There are so many of them that they get there own festival here every year. Naturally we had to go.
It began on Friday but we didn't go that day. We did however sit on our roof that night and watch the fireworks. Lexi loved this, she got to stay up late, climb on the roof and watch the fire in the sky. (we did the same thing for the 4th of July and it was great then too.) On Saturday they started the day with a big parade. I mean big too, they sure take their parades seriously cause we have yet to go to a parade here that is less than an hour or more long. On the bright side they have lots of princesses and candy so Lexi loves it. After we watched the parade we headed over to the park to check out the festivities. We had some yummy food, watched some live music, watched a mini airplane show (one actually looked like a lawn mower), played on the toys, and let Lexi ride a ride. She picked the Ponies and loved it. By then it was so hot and we were all so tired we called it a day and went home to rest but, we had a great time. Grandpa Ron (Mark's dad) was visiting so it was fun to have him around so that Lexi could drag him around instead of us. Yay for grandparents. So with that here comes the good part. The pictures.
Waiting for the parade to start.

Yay, time for candy.
I love this one cause her hands were so full of candy she could hold her bag.
By the end of the parade though, she was hot and tired. They were still throwing candy but she just climbed in her stroller and said she was to tired to get any more.
Here favorite part of the whole day. She had this smile plastered on her face the entire time.
What a great day. Any day with dad around is a good one for us.

Okay I may be the dumb one here... what's a hops field? She looks so COOL in her sunglasses! :) Alexis saw the pony and said I want to ride one!! :) I love fun stuff like that!
As always, so cute (and who was that really hot girl in yellow helping her with her candy??)
It was always a dream come true of mine when I could ride a horse when I was a little kid.
